Looks like I might finaly be able to stay at home and watch some races this year, I never had Speed channel and had to go to my dads to watch.

Not really though- you have to watch it on your computer on espn3, or watch a summary a day later on abc.
Or just not watch and find something else to do because theyre "TV" package sucks,

I really enjoyed watching the Mid-Ohio race on my computer last year, no comercials plus you could watch the live timing and scoring, which is way better than the crawler that the networks use.

Being on the bleeding edge always gets you cut... I can understand this deal frustrating some folks but this really does provide MORE coverage than they've gotten in years past, just not in conventional ways. Personally I'd rather have the option of watching it on the computer, the Xbox or a summary later than something like they did last year with, while well done, little more than "documentary" presentations after the fact.
I'll credit ALMS with being willing to take chances, whether on their media deals or allowing a hybrid racer to run with no classification on a data gathering mission. They have the most interesting GT racing being broadcast right now and I'm willing to break a few paradigms to watch it.

SSDD.....no live (broadcast) coverage means no DVR, means most people will actually see less of the race. I'm hoping to rig one of my computers up in order to record it onto a capture card. I plan on watching it live, just no way I can sit in front of the TV for 12 hrs. I'd rather break it up into 1hr increments to watch in the gym.
I do have ESPN3, but it's a huge step backward to have either watch it all live, or only a condensed TV version

Since my cable provider has ESPN3 it looks like I will be able to watch and DVR the race.

Unless I've missed something (and I hope I have), this years package actually looks to have far less Sebring airtime than Speed has shown. I have rather enjoyed DVR'ing their coverage of the 12 Hour and watching it over the course of a few days.

Nope. From what I've found, you have to either watch on ESPN3.com or wait for a 90 minute condensed package ABC will aire on the 30th. A huge step backwards IMHO.

ESNP3 is free IF you ISP has the right affiliations. So you don't necessarily have to be an ESPN subcriber, but your ISP has to somehow offer it. Luckily mine does. We'll see if it actually works on race day!
