Sebring entry's
looks like a good group....wish they could eliminate the GTC and LMPC, but I guess it's necessary until the economy picks back up. I couldn't mind a slower GT class if they weren't all Porsches (I like Porsche, just prefer variety)
I hope I can rig up my PC's to tape the race....just can't see watching it all the way through on ESPN3

I'm glad too see a large GT field...hopefully the Jaguars don't go up in flames as usual!
I'm really afraid the new TV package and economy might drive IMSA into the ground, but I really HOPE that is not the case. I'll be trying to watch and record the show one way or another (even if that means breaking out the VCR), but they might drive me away completely!

weren't there Vettes at the Test day???? None on the entry list though...
Scratch that....their is one listed in GTE....GTEndurance...whatever that is.
Gotta do some research....
Update, ALMS site doesn't even list GTE in the classes, and the Lemans.org site isn't working.
Somebody fill me in here....... What was the point of getting rid of GT1/GT2 if you are going to turn it into GT/GTE/GTC

OK, sort of got it.... http://www.planetlemans.com/2010/12/...m-regulations/
GT must be the GTE Pro, and GTE is the GTE Amateur. Basically GTE Am cars can be older and must have at least one "gold or platinum" drive. Not sure if that references their bank accounts or their age......

The demise of the GT1 category has brought a unified GT class for 2011, albeit split into two categories primarily around a drivers’ ranking. GTE Pro, formally known as the ultra-successful GT2 class, remains relatively unchanged, aside from the introduction of paddle shift gearboxes and minor aerodynamic adjustments.
GTE Am will mirror GTE Pro, except for two distinct differences. Cars must be at least one year old and only one driver with Platinum or Gold status will be eligible in each lineup. There are no driver restrictions in GTE Pro.
While many thought we'd seen the last of the Saleen S7R in Zhuhai, China last month, it appears 2010-spec GT1 machines have been given another lease on life, at least for one more year in GTE Am. (Photo: John Dagys)
Additionally, 2010-spec GT1 cars, such as the Matech Ford GT, Aston Martin DBR9 and Saleen S7R, will be permitted to compete in GTE Am for next year only. It’s unclear what Balance of Performance adjustments, if any, would be given to the already detuned-for-2010 machines.

There is the Team Labre entry, a former factory car. It is an Intercontinental lemans cup car. Sebring and Petit Lemans are the 2 American races. Then there are other races in the world.
Hey you put up the 2010 poster.
