A challange to you C6 track guys
GM had a Z06X concept car on display at Sebring. It was a track specific car and had the following seat on a electric back/forth adjustment. I spoke with the product integration manager and asked him why they couldn't offer these seats now. The answer basically came down to economics. He asked me how many I thought they could sell, either offered as options on all C6s models or as after car purchase upgrades. I know that the price would make a hugh impact on the purchase decision, but I didn't get any numbers $$$ from him. So, tell me what you think and if it was made available, would you purchase it.

Got a higher res shot? I think we can see the seat manufacturer in the harness slots.
Looks like a Sparco. If that is the case, probably be much less expensive to get from ANYONE but GM. I just need one to fit my fat butt, don't really care about the power slider as no one drives my Z but me.
Oh yeah, like AU N EGL says, flame retardant fabric is a must.

Good track seat is a horrible street seat. So most hard core trackers will what to pick their own seat and GM's with a high price.

I'd take those seats in a second! Even if they were on the large side and leather they would still be far superior to the existing ones. I saw that car on Friday. What a cool looking car!!

Some Porsches come with crazy looking seats that seem do to a good with street/track mix. That being said, hard to imagine corvette owners shelling out for this instead of a carbon/kevlar Cobra/etc. seat.

As an after-market, all bets are off. But it would have to be sold as an "off-road". Something GM's already working on with Caravaggio.

You're right. The way I read the OP, I thought he meant as an option for the C6. Not the Z06X.
If that's what he meant, than no, GM can't do it. Further, they're not going to do it, either. New factory seats require re-crash-testing the vehicle, which is a huge expense. At this stage of the C6 (ie, the end), they're not going to be spending any more development money on the car.
