You're going to need a 4" to balance that wing. At least that's what all the other guys are running on track.

Not necessarily. It depends on the track and how much wing angle. Drive it until understeer shows up. Then at the point, more splitter will be required for that wing settng.

I dunno about that, I'm only going by what I was told by the wing guy.

I've got mine run out to 4" now (the original 2" + the new addition of 2") and didn't notice much difference from CMP when I had just the 2". But I think that's because I cranked more wing (from 8* to 12*) in at VIR and the additional splitter length balanced it. If I had just the 2" with that much wing in it and the high speeds, the U/S would have been very noticeable.

Originally at CMP, I had 8* and 2" and the car was very balanced. At the next event there, I'll load the 12* angle and use the 4" splitter and see what happens. That wing configuration produces an addition ~54#'s (395#'s vs 449#'s) D/F at 120. Obviously, the speeds are a lot less at CMP but we'll see how all that works out.

If that was asked of me, I went with the 72". In fact, all the guys I know who bought the Kognition wings for the Vettes have gone with the 72".

I went with a 69" because I didnt want a ton of overhang on the sides. This is still a street car mostly, and a track car maybe 3-4 times a year. The 2" splitter will be fine, unless I go up to a really agressive AOA ont he wing and push it hard. The undertray I am building myself, and hope to fab up a diffuser this year as well.

Do these wings have wickers or the provision for one?

How is everyone measuring their AOA line on the wings? thanks

Very nice product, my friend run ones on his RTA car. You can literally stand on the wing.

I am not sure about the wicker, but if they adjust to 18* I doubt you need one. From the pic I saw it has pre-drilled holes to set the angle.

John,

The Kognition wing has no provision for a wicker.

I initially measured AOA by laying a flat ruler front to back on the top of the wing and use a digital angle gauge. Will be looking for a method that is closer to the center line of the wing.

Here's a profile of the wing.

The numbered holes align with holes in the vertical uprights to create the angle indicated. This would be relative angle the car since there's no assurance the car is on level ground.

I thought it'd be neat to look at v1.0 vs v2.0 of the Kognition wings. I have 1.0, its a 12 inch cord, vs 2.0's 10" cord which the rest of you have. The pictures are scaled accordingly.
