Default Wheel spacers and C5Z 17x9.5 - NASA

NASA TT rules allow track width to be increased by up to 4" as a free mod.
I run C5Z front wheels with a 275 square setup.
I'd like to take advantage of this allowance in the rules as I have space to spare.
Has anyone looked into this?
- how much spacing will the fenders accomodate?
- are other changes to setup needed to compensate?

Thanks.

Further out you go the more you change your spring rate as there is more leverage on the spring. You can easily have a fender rub with .750" spacers. Why would you want 275 sq? Line up your fenders with the tire/rim combo you have now on the car and see how it lines up.

Click on my left sig pic and then when it comes up click again and it will be bigger. Look at the tire/fender with 750" spacer and the fender where it is rubbed. Not sure if that was before or after I cut the fenders open more. I cut the fenders 3/4 higher. That is also a 1200 lb spring so lesser spring will compress more.

I don't want 275s, it is the max that I can run (for my class) and still run a dot slick (R6 or C71).

Anyone know how much a C5Z/275 (R6) setup changes the track vs stock?

I am stuck on base model springs (for class reasons), so I'm already soft.

Just trying to save some time, been living at work of late.

Thanks.
