Default 2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca

0-60 4.1
1/4 12.3
top speed 155 elec lim
skid pad 1.02g

Above with stock P Zero Corsa, what would it do with slicks?

$47,990 (but watch out for stealer bump)

I just finished reading the R&T review & I gotta say it's a lot of car for the $$$.

It weighs 3690#, so my c5z still wins, but I gotta give it

to the Ford guys. Way to go. Only 750 to be built. Wonder how much over the stealer will try for?

Ford has done a great job pumping out high HP out of small motors, the redline of that one is around 8K I believe? But we still have a better combo with the vette in low weight and a motor with big TQ that does not have to wind up so high.

The magazine lists the redline at 7700/7800 not sure why the slash

tq peak is 380 @ 4500

hp peak is 444 @ 7400

It has Recaro seats with a pass thru for harness & a brace where the back seat would be that ties the unibody together at the rear wheel wells.

Here is a link to pics

I don't care for the black/red but I think there is a silver/something also.

Yep...Ford is hitting on all cylinders (yuk, yuk). Nice car. Its road racing equipment list is nice: forged motor, oil cooler, torsen LSD, adjustable shocks, front splitter, the "track key", etc.

From what I've heard and seen (I have an 07 Mustang GT and check in at the mustang forums some) the mark ups are all over the place and the demand is high. Some dealers are asking for crazy mark ups while others have sold them for a few grand over msrp.

Hahaha

Ford is doing a good job and the car is cool, but a C5 Z06 will still run around it. Lighter car, better weight balance, and a KISS motor that just works.

Local guy who has a bunch of different sports cars has one on order for a new track toy. Was talking to him at our last cars & coffee event.

Default Boss 302 Laguna Seca

Dealer price:

Just for curiosity I got put on the list for one awhile back.

The dealer called me two weeks ago and said I was 1st on the list (yeah right). He said I could have the 1st car locally. The price - 58k.

This is a small market place here so there will probably be better deals elsewhere in the country.

I am getting one just for the rarity of the car. I will track it a bit up at Thunderhill just for fun. My buddy owns a Ford Dealer so I am getting a good deal on this one. Going for the black.

These cars are cool, but they are all pigs. Looking at Road & Track, weight with driver 3860, weight distribution f/r 55% 45% .

Don't get me wrong, they are nice cars. I would like to have one (except I am already out of garage space.)

They've really accomplished something, when we're comparing the "lowly" Mustang to the Corvette... That car is just way more car than the Camaro.

Which, we should remember, is the actual competition for the Mustang. Well played Ford.

Ironically it was after ordering my brand new 5.0 that I fell in love with the C5Z and cancelled my order with Ford. They're apples and oranges, even if the numbers are similar.

Yeah, I don't believe Chevy offers a turn key Grand Am car, which Ford does with a limited edition Boss race car.

I bleed Chevrolet when you cut me and have my entire life but they miss the boat sometimes. I don't like Ford but they are doing some VERY cool things.

Agree with the posts here about the weight. It's irritating to see cars getting fatter at a faster pace than our people. Hope the gas prices help get the cars back in shape.

Our dealer had one and the online MSRP was showing at $48,800 I think. Rumor has it some Ford rep from S FL picked it up.

I think in a few months they are coming out with a "track key" option that increases the output by changing the tune. Something about a black key for the street and a red key for the track tune.
