Default Any feedback on Bridgestone RE-11 fir street/track tires?

I will be driving about 7 to 10k miles on the street and about three HPDE events this year. I am stuck between the RE-11 or the Toyo R888. I am a little worried about the wet weather traction of the R888s. I am not at a point yet where i can have a track only wheel-tire setup. Any advice?

I just purchased the RE11s and have 2,000 miles on them and four track days. I have a C6 and went with the 265/35x18 and 305/30x19 on stock size wheels. I runbrake cooling ducts on the front and have no clearance issues. This past weekend at Sebring they felt amazing. I am very impressed and happy with my purchase. The rear sizes that I run are on backorder

The other important issue with me was wet traction. I live in Florida. Tire Rack did a test and these tires were awesome in wet traction also

Hope that helps

VGLNTE1,

Are you calling me stupid? I said 305/30x19. Not sure what you meant by that.

I'm sure he meant that it's stupid that a 275 is the widest they make in a 18" size and I agree. I have these on my street wheels in a 305/30/19r and 275/30/19 works great on the street. I did a first session of the day on them before I switch out to my track tires. They seemed very predictable but mayby not as sticky as the last street tires that I drove hard on the track the Hankook rs2s

I agree with that. I would rather run 18" at all four corners. However I want to make sure I am keeping close to the 1" difference between diameter of the front to the back. Therefore, you are correct that they just don't have 18" tires wide enough.
