autocross tires ??
Anyone have an opinion to offer as to which street tire is good for autocrossing? I have the OEM Goodyears which will need to be replaced soon. Just started xing, so not quite into Hoosiers yet.

NASCAR314 - it's a 2008 Z06. Yes it will be driven on street quite a bit.
Thrillhouse - agreed, I need plenty more seat time and I know tires will not be a substitute. I was just thinking if I need new tires this summer maybe I should start considering something more suitable to autocross, not that there is a lot of choice. And I forgot to mention the OEMs are of course runs flats, so that leaves me with Goodyears again or Michelins or Bridgestones for a different tire.

In accordance with some tire test I have read articles on, the Kumho XS extreme performance summer tire is a very good tire. Have seen a lot of Vettes running the XS in the stock class in NCCC and the people I have spoke with about those tires are happy with them.

The Kumho XS and Bridgestone RE-11's are great tires, but do not come in sizes for the C6 Z06
Michelin Pilot Sport Cup "PS2's" are an option (but a bit pricey) and exact sizes are not available. Closest rear would be a 315/25ZR19
Good Luck!
