Default Nomex or Carbon x?

I need to get some fireproof undergarments and am looking for recommendations? Do you prefer Nomex or Carbon X....why....also, is one brand better then another?

Thanks for the help,
Charley

You will sweat more in Carbon X, but it provides superior protection compared to nomex. I personally wear long sleeve carbon x top, pants, balaclava, and socks (looking for gloves, but have had no luck)...it also needs to be set out between sessions because it gets more sweat soaked as well. If you care at all about fire protection, go Carbon X

I have only worn carbon x and seen the protection it can offer in a steel mill setting (much more abrasive than a race car setting). Carbon x has protected my co-workers from hot molten steel, and it's available to me at a good price point, so that's what I use.

I think the Carbon X is much more comfortable. And the Carbon X socks actually stay up, while noe of my Nomex socks do.
