Anyone know the size of the coolant drain plug on the block of s C5?
I want to drain the coolant out of the block but the hex insert for the block drain plug is huge. I have a 5/8 hex socket and it is too small. Not sure if it is metric hex. I want to drain the coolant and run distilled water for the track. Thanks

Just open the petcock on the bottom of the radiator, and take the top off of the coolant reservoir so it can vent and that should get rid of 90% (probably more) of the existing coolant.

That soounds about right from what I remember... I got a set of big alan wrenches from northern too. as stated above you would be fine with just draining the radiator, and refilling. Last time I did mine it took about 2 times of draining and refilling to get all the old coolant out.
