T-1 sway bars for autox?
I have a 2002 Z06 that has a bone stock suspension. I know it will need shocks. My questions is are teh T-1 sway Bars good for autocross?
I am in the SSM class so my suspension mods are wide open
thanks

I have beed autoxing since 1992 and while I am not a Mark Daddio or Sam Strano I hold my own. My cars have allways been ponycars with my last car being a CP 1999 Camaro SS. I am new to the vette and have only run 1 event and a Evo School in it.
The car will be running 17x11.5 front and 17x12.5 rear CCW wheels with 315 and 335 Hoosier A6 tires. I now need to set the rest of the car up. I am bumped up to SSM because the car has a built LS3 swapped in.

I can only state how my '00 FRC autocrossed, in a more or less stock configuration.
Started out on a square setup (275 RA-1s), and found the car would oversteer on corner entry and mid-corner, transitioning to minor oversteer on corner exit.
Changed to a 275f/315r setup and found the car was nicely planted on corner entry and mid-corner, but had a fair amount of understeer on corner exit.
Changed to a 275/305 setup and found everything stayed pretty much the same, but the corner exit understeer was reduced a fair amount.
This is all based at the same venue (obviously the courses were all different), so the surface was pretty consistent.
Point of all the above blather is that tire stagger is a pretty big contributor to how your car handles. Personally I'd compete with your car as is for at least a couple of events to get a feel for what you like and don't like about how your car handles.
Congrats on your new track beast, and have a good one!

I have several types of bars. T-1 bars are too stiff for the quick changes in autoxing. They are great for road racing. The Hotchkis Bars are just perfect for ASP and above in an autox situation and very light.
