Victor,
Too bad you picked the weekend that the Corvette Challenge is running at Chuckwalla. I would have attended had it been a different weekend.
Hope that in 2012 you can choose the dates that does not exclude to 20 or so folks who participate in the Challenge.
On another note the CC just ran at SMMR this past weekend and we had a great time.

hi all!
the new track extension is too new to run in the heat, as the track gets hot, the oils in the asphalt get reactivated and we could damage the asphalt, so we did the switch to the 3.1 configuration.

Yes, we'll be coming up together on Friday afternoon. Will you have check-in at the track on Friday? And we hope the Saturday buffet will be attended by the SM staff. It was pretty lame last Sept., at least compared to last April.
I would like to get some time to show you our new Angelwings Track Day Bar (a rollbar we're not calling a rollbar) for C5 and C6 convertibles. Dave Petrie saw it when I was there with the LVRPCA last month. Two of us will be using them for the weekend.

really enjoyable weekend. Always nice to see a paddock of corvettes. Spring Mountain did a great job of providing alot of track time and had a great saturday evening feast/social at their clubhouse. Enjoyed hanging out with the Pomona Valley Corvette group. Brent Hicks T1 car had a smokin lap time with a pro driver in it of 2:28. Not bad for a stock LS6.
I had Ethan, my devoted crew chief etc, drive my car on sunday. He drove great but I aged a few years being in the passenger seat. I think I will stick with driving .

Had a ball even though I went off road twice. No harm, no foul. Best time was a 2:33.
Thanks to SM for putting on Track Days. Great facility.
Beggars can't be choosers but it sure would be nice to have two or three track days during the nicer times of the year. Weather was unseasonably good this time though.
