Not exactly sure on any brake fluid but I have used SRF in my race car for several years and would not use anything else.

What is the primary difference between SRF and Dot 3 / Dot 4? Boiling points? Shift feel?

You can use an expensive Motul, but it is not required. The clutch fluid will never get as hot as the brake fluid.

With that said I use it in my clutch simply because I buy motul by the case and it is only a couple ounces (if that).

What is more important, is that you change it out regularly no matter what brand you use, but any Dot4 brake fluid is fine, just NO SYNTHETICS.

There are a couple of folks if not more who have said that ATF in the PS pump will degrade the seals.
Not sure but I know mine did not last long after putting that in.

I am getting ready to put my 4th PS pump in the car and I am just going to put regular old PS fluid in it. Also now have a 25% underdrive pulley.

Had Royal Purple in the last one and the only problem was I could not definetly tell if was RP PS fluid or RP motor oil when the leak started.

I just found a brake boiling point tester, could be interesting to see how long the different fluids last. Couldn't find a price on it though.

I don't want to go off topic but we use amsoil synthetic in our PS and the seals have been fine so far.

As far as clutch fluid we use ATE type 200. It doesn't contain silicone so it will not damage the system.

I ran Valvoline Max-Life PS fluid in mine last week at Pocono and had no boiling, seems to be good stuff.

I use this in both my brakes and clutch:
AMSOIL Series 600 DOT 4 Racing Brake Fluid (Product Code BF4SN)
Dry Boiling Point - 580F, Wet Boiling Point - 410F

And FYI, AMSOIL makes a synthetic power steering fluid, so no need to use an ATF.
AMSOIL Synthetic Power Steering Fluid (Product Code PSFCN)

I agree. If you don't want any issues use SRF in brakes and clutch!
