NASA at Autobahn July 9th and 10th
Had a great turn out in crappy weather in April, so I can only hope for an even bigger turn out in a few weeks.
Who's coming??
Maybe we can have 10+ ST2 cars and hopefully I can complete more than 1.5 laps!

Entry list just updated! 9 cars in ST2 - I'm trying to get Mike N. to make it 10...
Jason, you should take a bunch of weight out of your LS3 and come play!

L98 - looking forward to meeting and running with you... bummer your car is not ready.
Going to be a very competitive field... Along with former ST2 and TTS champ Geff being there, certinaly some others I'm very nervous about too.
Weinberger is driving a former World Challenge car - that A4 built by Statis - he ran in Nationals last weekend in STU on the South track and was turning 33's...I'd imagine he can turn the boost up for ST2
Jim McKamey but has won 12 SCCA National Championships in SOLO2 Modified-class cars and just won the last ST2 races at Gingerman after getting his comp lic.
Current ST2 points leader in the Midwest, Ryan Winchester in his Mustang.
The Fall-Line BMW's i'm sure will be well prepped..
Should be a blast - just going to be sick to my stomach until the track goes green and we are out there!

This is killing me. One of my son's has a birthday this weekend. It's going to be near impossible to attend. I'd be chasing with my outdated T1 car but it would be a blast.

We will be down one M3, Tom's car has a compression issue and can't run. I found out that I can only make the Sat race due to a prior comitment. Still really looking forward to racing with you guys!

Wow, that thing must still still have A/C, H/K sound and other fun options still in place to make weight! Is that the red one that was sitting around Autobahn for sale?

Well it was a nice and toasty weekend at Autobahn this past weekend!
Corvette Sports had an almost picture perfect weekend!
3 trophies in TT and 3 in ST2!
Geff won TTS Saturday and Sunday.
Rory won TTA on Saturday and given his times would have easily won on Sunday. Unfortunately, he had a bit of an off during one of his last sessions and sustained some damage.
Saturday qualifying ST2:
Class Super Touring 2
720897 44 Jim McKamey 1:31.068 2 83.015 0.000 3
720898 222 Geffrey Sawtelle 1:31.651 1 82.487 0.583 0.583 5
720899 56 Ryan Winchester 1:32.636 2 81.610 1.568 0.985 3
720900 421 Karim Alex Talbot 1:32.957 4 81.328 1.889 0.321 7
720901 72 Jim Hamman 1:33.435 3 80.912 2.367 0.478 4
720902 06 Ryan Upham 1:33.996 1 80.429 2.928 0.561 6
720903 25 GREG VANNUCCI 1:34.257 1 80.206 3.189 0.261 2
720904 557 John Brownlow 1:38.226 2 76.965 7.158 3.969 3
Needless to say Jim McKamey was very fast...
Joel made some small changes to to the car between qual and the race and while that combined with my start had me go from 4th to 2nd in class, there was no way I was going to catch Jim. Luckily for me, something let go in Jim's car and I inherited the lead! From there I just tried to hang on to the gap that I had, but Ryan and Geff we're closing in. With 6 laps to go, I got black flagged and the folks in the pits told me I was done, but wouldn't tell me why. Finally got the story that they felt I had passed a safety vehicle unsafely - I completely disagree and eventually will start another thread with a video and get your opinions - all i can say is in almost 20 years of racing, I have never seen a call like this. Taking a leader out for something that might of happened many laps ago, with no warning just doesn't sit well with me.
Anyway, this handed the lead to Ryan in the Mustang and from what I understand Geff caught him towards the end to take the win.
Was still not happy with the car, so Joel made some bigger changes Saturday night... We missed trying it out for the Sunday warm-up, but made qualifying and had some great results!
Sunday qualifying Class Super Touring 2
655361 421 Karim Alex Talbot 1:31.964 3 82.206 0.000 6
655362 222 Geffrey Sawtelle 1:32.167 1 82.025 0.203 0.203 4
655363 25 GREG VANNUCCI 1:33.134 3 81.173 1.170 0.967 3
655364 557 John Brownlow 1:33.379 4 80.960 1.415 0.245 4
655365 06 Ryan Upham 1:33.593 1 80.775 1.629 0.214 5
The ST1 Viper of Ray Sweers outqualified us...
Passed the Viper under braking at the start and then him and Geff starting battling, which helped me open up a big gap.... 5 or 6 laps later, the Viper got around Geff and chased me down... He got by me and pulled away.... going through traffic I would catch up to him and started to get a bit hungry for an overall win... The Viper started having some brake issues - we had some interesting side by side action, including me being two and four wheels off - not sure why he was fighting me so much as the next ST1 car was nowhere near him. I just wanted to get as far away from Geff as possible. Finally got around him and went on to take the win and end what has been a painful 2.5 year curse. Geff took 2nd, giving CSI Peformance a one two for the day!
Can't wait to get to Mid-Ohio next week as there is a lot of work and fun to be had!
A huge thanks to Eric and Joel at CSI for some long hours and hard work to take care of us.. In between all of this, he fixed my motorhome twice(!) and on the way home had to change a tire on Geff's rig on the way back to WI... Corvette Sports and RV repair maybe??
