Default Wanted: BBS race wheels

Gentlemen,

We are searching for a set of four (4) BBS 3-piece (20-bolt) race wheels, in 16" or 17" diameter. Hoping to find 11" or 12" width, but could modify 9"s or 10"s if necessary.

Anyone who has "graduated" to 18" or 19" diameters have a set of these lying around the garage?

Thanks,
Ed LoPresti

Todd is checking part numbers on a PAIR that he has in the garage.

Any others out there?

Default Renewing search

Renewing our search for a set of used BBS 3-piece, 20-bolt racing wheels. (NOT the LM model street wheel.)

Hoping to find some combination of 11" or 12" widths, in 16" or 17" diameters. Let us know what you have.

Thanks,
Ed

We may have located a PAIR that will work - waiting to hear specific measurements.

Meanwhile, anyone else? How about anyone else with just a pair of these wheels? (1 pair + 1 pair = . . . . . )

Thanks,
Ed

Keith & Tom,

Thanks for the reminder! I have spoken with Evan at Woodman's in the past, and can not recall if I owed him a call back, or he owed it to me. Either way, I have just left them another message, and will follow-up.

Of course, what I am truly hoping is to find someone who has a set of these collecting dust in their garage.

These wheels were never really popular on these cars. we had a set of non LM wheels, and we couldnt give them away.

I have some centerlock 16" Trans Am wheels, if you are interested, but I believe you are looking for 5 lug wheels.

Hi Bobby,

Where were you when I needed you??

As you know, so much of the wheel market, even for race wheels, continues to be driven by popularity, rather than by true performance. It continues to surprise me.

We are indeed looking for the 5-lug (5 on 120) configuration, E26 centers. UNLESS, of course, center-lock conversion hubs, for a C4, come with those 16" TransAm wheels you have.

Regards,
Ed

Everett,

Thanks for the reply, and I shall certainly keep those in mind if we eventually decide to go the larger diameter route. Unfortunately, right now we need that "next smaller" center that is the base for the 16" and 17" wheel.

As luck would have it, I have located 3 of the proper E26 center sections, but you can see where that will leave us. Obviously, would much prefer to find a full set, already assembled, in the specified sizes.

If I recall correctly, you are running BIG wheels - why don't you buy some rims and barrels, and use the centers?

Ed, I have 4 BBS wheels and I just completed replacing the centers on my front wheels (which is why I now have 2 extra centers). I fine-tuned my front wheel offset with my new centers - moved the front wheels inward 0.318 inch on each side (VERY expenisve 3/10 of an inch!).
