Default T1 Bars Question

I found a decent deal on a used set of T1 bars for my C5 Z06 I am running Koni FSD shocks with full poly bushings installed and have been looking at the Pfadt / LG bars but saw these t1 units .... Question is for a car which sees some street and about 8-10 HPDE events a year are the T1 bars a good choice over the others?

Unless you run at the top of your group and just want that extra little edge to be right at the front. Or if you are pretty much always 100% and unable to put power down or throttle steer when you want or....etc. In other words, the stock bars are fine with stock springs for a lot of fun at the track and ride very well on the street. Unless you do the whole package - big brakes, larger wheels, sticky tires and everything else, I would just enjoy it as it is.

I think if you've already done full poly bushings and you're doing 8-10 events per year you'd probably enjoy the stiffer bars... at least the front bar...

Having asked around a lot on here, my feeling is that the T1 bars are livable on the street if you have soft sidewall (ie normal) street tires. If you run my Nitto-Rii on the street it will jump 3 ft sideways over bumps...just too stiff. Several folks are also not using the T1 rear bar saying it's too stiff...this is why I went with JO bars instead. I like them fine on the street & track...still a little understeer like stock but no body roll. Gone. With this & shocks I got 5s at VIR over last year.

Pfadt Johnny Oconnell bars--these are almost the stiffness of T1, just 10% or so lower according to their chart. Far cheaper new vs new than T1. Designed for the street application. Comes with nice adjustable endlinks so you can get corner weighted...they don't make any noise.

I run Pfadt's Original Pfatty bars on the street with Toyo R888s and don't experience any "sideways jumping."

If you can feel the car wallowing around on the stock bars, then its time. If it still feels like it corners flat, then no.

T1 are great bars.....if it is a good price JUMP on it. Adjustability of the Pfadt is nice, but the T1's work well with both OEM and aftermarket springs in my experience.

Ran T1's on the street for a few yrs. Ok for me. Later switched to the rear adjustable T1. Now full track with Pfadt Comps.
