Default Has anyone attended the Mid-Ohio school?

Thinking about enrolling in the Mid-Ohio Two day High Performance driving school and bringing my car up. They have a two day session that looks promising and they are close enough for it to be a possibility for me.

I was hoping that someone here may have done it and would love to get your thoughts on it. Also, If anyone has any alternatives for me I'd love to hear those as well.

I'd love to do Spring Mountain for example but the cost, the duration and the distance make that a bucket list item for another time.

Thanks,
Paul

Not sure about that, but have you considered running with 10/10ths, which has regular events there?

Thanks for the reminder. I'll need to talk with Bill.

Thanks Brian!

All of the information for Vettes on the Point was turned in to the NCM so hopefully something will work out for that.

I have, or people I have "sponsored" (my daughter, for instance), attended several versions of "The Mid Ohio School."

Two words: "Do" and "it."

The instructors do a great job there. This past June 15th I brought 16 employees for a corporate outing and they had a blast. Brian Till was the lead instructor (much to my chagrin, as Dave Roush is one of my best friends, but he was traveling doing the Teen programs) with Tommy Byrne and Jonathan Klein helping out.

I did the Comp School in 2004, and it helped immensely.

My daugher, my nephew, and my best friend's son all did the Teen Defensive School.

Does the session you are looking at use your own car?

MH will be more structured and organized - I'm sure they deliver a very polished product.

You probably will get a lot more time on track with any of the DE organizations with great instruction in the car and in class..

Yes, the two day performance driving school gives the option of using one of the school Acura's or bringing your own car. I'll be opting for bringing my car. I'd rather learn using my own Corvette for both better understanding of the capabilities of my car and the fact that I'm hoping to get a few HPDE's under my belt with this Corvette.

Bill & 10/10ths will be there Aug 11th.

They have some great instructors (Danny P. one of the fastest guys around in a Vette, plus tons of others).

Might be a consideration.

It absolutely is. I just need to try to reconcile the time off in August (can't believe it is only a month away all ready).

I've known Bill for years and followed his "career" I'd like nothing better than to attend one of his schools.

Default later this year

Paul, here is another opportunity almost due north from you and since it is benefitting one of our favorite auto museums as well as a class act run event:
