I had a chance to listen in on Caddy's chief mechanic after saturday's race. The design was out of the box thinking from the P&M aero guys, but within the rules. The back edge of the wing can't extend beyond the back of the car. The brackets and adjustment possibilities are endless with this setup.

Down force is built on the bottom of the wing. The smoother the air flow over the bottom of the wing the more efficient it is at building down force. The top of the wing doesn't matter as much so by moving the mount to the top they maintain air attachment to the bottom across the entire surface and build more down force more efficiently. That is an over simplified explanation but you get the idea.

Yeah, those caddies are wicked cars. I did a cell vid of one of the caddies scanning all over everything. There are so many small things you can pick up just looking over the construction of the car. I watch the vid and pause it at sections to look over everything. Various ideas for cars we build... I'm always doin secret R&D...haha.
