That would be Audi, but I seriously doubt they'd ever hire an American. Yes I've raced both an LMP and IRL car, but never an F1 car. To be honest any of those cars with down force are far easier to drive.

Johnny,

Have you tried the iRacing racing simulation for PC? It has been out for about 3 years and is very accurate with real cars and tracks, and they have the C6.R GT1!

No, but I will buy some older cars to fix up. Most likely my favorite will always be my 2002 convertible. We call her Sweetness.

Cost is not much of a problem, just don't want to have to do it twice. What's your recommendation? Thanks for your time.
The stage one package sounds like it would be perfect for your use! It geared towards exactly that: spirited driving for street driven cars. In that it will be awesome on the racetrack and awesome on the street where you will primarily use it. If you find later that you want your car to be stiffer for track use, then consider the coilovers.

Thanks Charley. As you might know Cadillac drivers don't eat at McDonalds.

I know they were pissed off that the Corvette took me out at Mid Ohio when I was running 2nd. And I have no idea what car that is.

I was very fortunate to catch the eye of Nissan in 1989 and then was employed with them through 1995. That's how I got to be a factory driver, and had enough success with Nissan to attract other factory positions.

If I had a dollar for everyone that misses me in Corvettes, I'd be richer than Donald Trump.

No I haven't done the iRacing simulator, but I hear a lot of the teenagers coming up use it to prepare for tracks they've never been to.

I can describe what my C6 is doing on the track, but I'm never sure what to do to fix it (air pressure, shock stiffness, bar stiffness, raise / lower). Since I don't have a team of engineers making the decisions, could you point me to a good reference for Corvette suspension tuning?

In closing, thanks to everybody for sharing the in the love of Corvettes. They truly are the best sports car America has ever produced. That said, if you want to make the greatest car even better, I promise every owner that the JO/Pfadt Suspension package will make their car even a bigger super star.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the race track soon.

Hey c6hp4fun! Thanks for tuning in. We are very knowledgable in suspension tuning as we have our own team of engineers that tune cars for pro race teams, private customer teams, and certainly people who purchase our products. We are willing to field any questions you have if you want to email us or give us a call.

Feel free to use us a resource to lean on for Corvette suspension!

After an extremely careful review of the questions posed to Johnny, it was a close call.

The winner of the 50 bucks Pfadt Cash is Daytona Bob! Great question about the transition to NASCAR road course specialist and this years successes compared to the Italians.

Thank everyone so much for their questions, and to CorvetteForum for giving us an avenue to host this! Stay in touch with Pfadt Race Engineering on CorvetteForum and Facebook for fun events like this in the future!
