Default Track wheels for my Z51?

Hello,
I use my 08 Z51 for a bunch of track days every year. Right now I am using an extra set of stock wheels for when on track. (running 888's this last time - until they greased up - but that's another story).
I would like to do 18" all around instead of the stock 18/19.
What's the widest rim and widest tire I can put front and back?
Anyone know of a set for sale?
Thanks,
Brian

Default Works

I have done 275 front and 305 rear without any problems on my -05 Z51. Still using 18"/19" setup. I think I have seen people running even wider, but I think this combination is not too bad at all. With Hoosier I am using 265/295. I have not dared taking the next step up.

(I have my original rims for sale if anyone would be interested in an extra set of C6 rims).

Mine are available. Works well and I have retired myself and the car. I am headed to Florida ~ Nov. 1st. I have a house in Port Charlotte and can bring them down with me or ship them.

Scrub are available with this setup and no alignment changes are required.

CCWs 18x10+18x11 fit well on a C6 non-Z06. 275/35r18+305/35r18 R888s fit and are streetable. IMO to go wider in a front you *will* rub on either the inside wheelhouse or the fender or both. I had 18x11 and 295/30r18 in the front and rubbed on both the inside and outside. I believe you could go a little wider in the rear without too much fear of rubbing.

The R888s run a bit wide for the listed size, too...

The do run wide, I was just looking at my RE11's on my street rims compared to the 888's on the track rims and they are noticably wider. In fact they were kind of buldging on the stock C6 rims at 265/35 and 305/30 sizes. Not sure what that does for handling but it can't be good.

You have had the 10" up front and 11" in back on your C6 without issue? Everyone I had talked to said that's too big and to stick to 9.5 and 10.5.

Thanks,

18x10+18x11 is *perfect*. The only thing I had to do was not use the HardbarUSA camber plates -- they pushed the lower control arms out too far to get a streetable camber setting (-1.8deg) and have the top of the tire tuck inside the fender.

With a little clearancing in the front and losing some turn at lock I think you could go 18x10.5 in the front... the back, with a reasonable ride height, could probably tolerate 18x11.5.
