FS- F/R Set of Pirelli World-Challenge Slicks(275's,305's) $350
Very fresh, 2 HC's. Fronts are 275/645-18's(275/30-18), rears are 305/645-18's( 305/30-18) The diameter of the tires are 25.4" DH compound. As a reference, the World-Challenge cars were 4 seconds a lap faster than last year( on Toyo R888's) at Laguna Seca. By the way, pole was 1:25.5 and the race was won by Mike Skeen in a Corvette!
Over $1800 a set new.

Can't say, I have not used my set yet. You might pose the question on the forum, there might be someone that has used these. I am curious myself how long they last and whether they are faster than an A6. I would think they should be. Its the DH compound and it just came out this year. By the way, these tires came off 2 practice sessions, not the race tires(which the cars qualified on.)
Its all relative, those pro teams aren't trying to save money by wringing extra miles out of their tires. If they give up .5 sec a lap after 2 HC's, the tires are worthless to them; that's the difference between pole and 6th place in qualifying and in the race, that's probably the difference between winning and being midpack. At the sharp end of the grid, those pro's are really driving the wheels off their cars and seeing 210+ deg temps on the tires; in their case they probably would be heat cycled out after 3-4 and my guess would be 2 seconds a lap slower. My experience with slicks(Yok's, R100's and Dunlops) is that heat cycled out is about 2 seconds slower on a 2 minute track. As for the majority of forum members who end up using these tires, unless they squeeze the maximum grip out these things, I am not sure if 2 seconds a lap(from maximum grip) will be noticable.
You should buy them Ben and try it out compared to the 255 A6's you run. Then we will all know exactly how they stack up.

You are selling them almost too cheap. We tested a set that had 10 maybe 12 heat cycles. Pirelli DH's to sticker A6's and the pirelli was less than a half a second slower at Mid Ohio.

Keep in mind the car wasn't dialed in for the slicks and neither was I. IMO the Slicks are A6 fast and they will last, if you want to throw down fast laps at a HPDE or to test at A6 speeds it's the way to go.

I do need to get rid of these, getting too much chit from my wife. I can ship these via Greyhound for $136 for two sets(same price as 1 set) anywhere in the US. The set we had were a practice set that also run all day on Friday at Mid Ohio in Aug. it has 10-12 heat cycles. Now the two factors that you need to take into account is I was in a car (TTS) that I've only had about 10 laps in total and I'm not used to running slicks. I got in the car and ran a 1:32.4 on my very first lap and follow that with a 1:31.5 my following lap was quick also but I bobbled the car going into 7 so that lap was trashed and then I came in. I think they needed a little more heat but I'm not sure. The car did handle a little different it seemed to release and stick more than the Hoosiers which slide a little more.
The next session I went out on new A6s and ran a 131.1 (new track record) on my first hot lap.

I'm interested in the 305's. I use them in the rear. If you want the 275's, we may be able to split them easily.
I'm new on the forum, a buddy referred me here after hearing about me need for wider rears (tires that is).
