Default F1 experts question - Weber's starts

Why can't Weber seem to get good starts? Does he have different gearing than Vettel? How many times this year (or in previous years) has Weber given up great qualifying positions into the first corner? Any opinions out there?

It really is strange, isn't it?

Did you see the bit they did on the pre-race show where the drivers were decribing all the things they have to do during the start. Pretty nutso. Dual clutches one of which gets released at the start and the second after 1/2 to one second afterwards, differential settings, etc. Sheesh.

Maybe Webber should offer Alonso $100,000 to teach him his tricks

What I don't understand is why they don't have him practice everyday somewhere until he gets it right. They are allowed to do straightline testing...

I have no idea WHY..............I just know that Webber does NOT get good starts, whether he is on pole or not, his starts are disaster!

Yep, his start was terrible, but he put a marvelous pass on Eyebrow Boy. I think Alonso is still trying to figure out what happened.
