Wheelspin - St. Louis Region SCCA - August to September reports St. Louis Region member and a local real estate developer, Curtis Francois, has been working with state and local governments to put together a redevelopment plan that will allow him to purchase Gateway International Raceway (GIR) and operate it for the long term. The National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) has already added the 15th Annual NHRA Midwest Nationals to their 2012 schedule on Oct. 5-7 as part of the "Countdown to the Championship" which will crown champions in the four professional categories.

Francois and our R.E. Steve Burkett have already sat down to discuss what SCCA programs might compete at GIR next year.
