Default Leaking Axle Seal, GM Seals OK for Track?

Hey all, just wondering if the track guys have a better solution than replacing leaking axle seals with the GM seals. I know they are an updated PN, but still seem to leak. Thanks.

Not that I know of. My replacement did not leak. You may also have a puking breather as opposed to a leaky seal (which is what I had).

I've come across this several times, typically it's a groove that's worn into the 1/2 shaft itself - I buy used 1/2 shafts for $125 - $150 and swap it out with a new side seal - so far I've fixed 4 cars by doing both.
