Default Put racing on hold for a while..

As most of you know I had a very up/down season of racing that ended with my 2nd motor (this year) in the Corvette getting an improper rebuild and seizing at Road America in my 2nd lap putting me into the wall. But I went out with a bang and had a blast racing at NJMP with BimmerWorld

As of yesterday, the car is officially sold and gone headed to become a NASA ST2 car in Colorado.

As I made mention in a previous thread, the sale of the car is indeed going to a business venture. I have put racing on hold for a few years to get my new life in order. Next month I'll be moving to Georgia to start a couple Interstate Batteries franchises in Savannah and Brunswick; I'll sell everything from auto, marine, heavy equipment (forklift, scissor lift, etc), to your AA, AAA, cell phone, and laptop batteries in both business to business sales and retail sales. We also sell Optimas and rebuild battery packs for electric tools (impact wrench, drills, etc) and have the ability to drop ship phone orders anywhere.

Best of luck on the new business venture - every one always needs batteries. On another plus side, in a couple of years when you get back to racing, there are a bunch of new tracks to run. Roebling Road, Road Atlanta, Seabring, Carolina Motorsports park, VIR and more are within reasonable driving distance. I lived in Savannah, and it is a wonderful, historic city that you will love.

Best of luck! Is it cost effective to rebuild batteries for cordless tools? I have a 20V lithium C-man cordless drill that I have had for years now and use all the time. One of the battery packs is finally starting to go south. Is that something I can have "refreshed" cheaper than I can buy new?

What you think was bad luck this year may turn out to be a blessing!

Put your heart into this new venture and you will be rewarded!

Best of luck and stick around here for conversation.

I'll be in Brunswick for the next year or so, and then most likely going to Savannah. Thanks Derek!
