Got to run my car Sunday
Hey turns out they got a 'Snow Date' for the autocross Sunday.
I got to run my car after all!
Picked my car up on Saturday, stopped by the hardware store on my way back to pick something up.
Couldn't turn the car off! ARGH!
Turns out the pivots on the steering columns tilt mechanism are shot.
If I wiggled it enough I could get it to work.
After all this, good enough for me
I just left the car running during my session, normally you turn it off to keep it cool.
Not really a problem yesterday... brrr...
Definitely needed to leave the traction control ON yesterday.
My Hoosiers were shot, so I drove on my 255 all-seasons.
Got on it hard once, that was a real H0lyCr@p moment
Real glad I made it. Finally having my car done and being able to run it once was a really big deal for me Nicely run event Great course, Especially that last part I own who ever set that up a beer! Food was great too.
Thanks to the tires, and the fact that I haven't autocrossed in over a year my times weren't so hot
That said I can hardly wait to go back with some race tires.

At Last!
For those of us who have been watching your deployment, return, build and now finally getting the car on the parking lot; this is a big moment.
Many of us share your excitment and satisifaction.
I hope to be in the same boat in about two years and maybe run with/against you at the NCCC Convention in Bowling Green, KY.
Congratulations
