Default Can't stop leak in Setrab oil cooler!

Cooler has built in -12an male ports. It appears to be leaking from the -12an to -10an reducer connection. It is not a big leak, but enough to drip. Is there a sealing thread tape you can use for that? I pulled everything off last nite and tightened connection as tight as I could get it. Changing oil tonite so I can disconnect if needed. Got track day Monday.

There should be a oring on the cooler side of the fitting. Tape doesn't work on straight threads. To make matter worse that fitting is a M22 to -10an.

Normally they do, but this one has -12an fitting molded into the M22 port. Here is a link to it:

It has been on since beginning of Oct and has a track day on it. It didn't start leaking until about a week ago. BTW, the reducer is Jegs brand and not an Earl's like the rest of them ( out of stock). The Jegs reducer on bottom port does not leak if that matters.

AN fittings seal on the taper so you make them finger tight plus 1/4 turn. If you really tightened it as much as you could then you've probably distorted the fitting taper and it will never seal.

First time was finger tight plus 1/4 turn but no leaking. When it started leaking, I tighten more. Last nite, tightened up as far as it would turn. So have I ruined the fitting? The male port on the cooler is not metal, but some kind of plastic/polymer thing. Can I just repl aluminum fitting or have I trashed the cooler?

Why not get the normal Setrab M22 to AN10 fittings and put those in?

The -12an ports are permanently molded, cast whatever into cooler. I presume these were specifically made for some SCCA class. Cooler works great. Going to try to find Earl's adapter to see if that helps first. Then may try the flare saver.

Good news first - oil is not leaking from reducer anymore. Bad news is oil is leaking from both hose ends now. Yes, I tightened the crap out of them also. I need to find someone around here who know what they are doing to do this. Youtube vids make it look easy, but apparently there is more to it than I can do. Taking Setrab off tonite and putting the B&M on for Mondays track day at VIR. Only going to be 67* so hopefully I won't have to do too many cool down laps. Planning on doing Daytona next month so I will need to have bigger cooler working by then.
