Camaro Cup Coming to the US in 2012
From the V8 StockCar Forum:
The Camaro Cup series will be opening up it's 2012 season along side the V8 Stockcar series in February.
Howe Racing Enterprises put the two groups together earlier this year and we worked out the details for two events
along with SCCA and HSR.
The two double events will be held in Florida, with round one at historic Sebring International Raceway with SCCA on
Feb. 11-12 and round two at Palm Beach International Raceway with HSR on Feb, 18-19, 2012.
I'll post more event info soon.
Note: I started a Camaro Cup Sweden category on the V8 forum under other racing news.

These are the new Howe Racing chassis and Camaro bodied driven by Eurpoean pro drivers. Very competitiive racing. I hear Jan Magnusson drives one of these.
The cars are similar in chassis and power to weight as the Trans Am
TA2 cars.

Tube frame and composite body
Pretty much the same chassis and body as the TA2 Howe Camaro's except instead of LS1 motors they are using 450 plus HP small block chevy's built from modifying the Chevy ZZ4 Crate motor. Not sure if they are using quick change rear ends or not, but they are live axle and weigh about 2500# minus driver. Lap times should be about the same as a Good TA2 trans am car. They use the Howe European body that does not have the big flares like the TA2/GTA US version.
