Default 3 Inch Exhaust Pipe Muffler Option

Mike's ST2 car has straight 3 inch SS pipes of some unknown brand. They are tooth numbing loud. Looking at them they are "manufactured" so I hate to cut them up to add mufflers. Anybody have any 3 inch muffler system that bolts to a 3 inch X pipe, or recommendations?

LG sells a "Big 3" system for the C5 - otherwise I think that Jason Berkley used a Super Trap set-up to quiet his C5 T1 car after he installed headers. I'm guessing that the 3" set-up is from Pheonix, some people just put turn-downs on the ends or add a short muffler at the tip.

It already has the turndowns - that makes it meet sound restrictions. It needs mufflers to stop the driver pain.

I had 3 inch borla race mufflers on my camaro. They are straight through but get out a lot of the nastiness.

My car has straight pipes but is fairly quite due to the fact it still has cats.

I am thinking about getting the cats out. I hope the car is not too loud.

This is why I love the factory titanium catback. As mentioned LGM sells a 3" setup as does Stainless Works.

If you run mufflers, just make sure you have a really good rev limiter since you won't be able to hear your own car when the green drops. I have straight pipes and a shift light strictly for that reason.

you couldn't hear a 1000 lb JDAM if it landed 20 feet from your car

On my Camaro with both the LT1 and LS7 motors I used full 3 inch exhaust and a 16" LoBak muffler on each side, dumped before the axle--also a Dr. Gas X Pipe. The LoBak is basically the same as the Moroso Spiral muffler you can get at Summit. I have yet to go over 100 DB with that setup.
