Default FS (2) like new Hoosier R3S04 tires

I have 2 R3S04 Hoosiers for sale in size 285 30 18. The tires appear to be new. I have had them for about 6 months, and haven't used them. $250 plus shipping. Thanks. Jerry Stout

But to be safe, you should state that they are very old, being
a model of tire that went out of production years ago, and
that Hoosier themselves have a warning on their site not to
use tires that old.

"WARNING

Service Life For Race Tires: Old tires can fail in use, causing loss of vehicle control and personal injury. Environmental conditions like temperature extremes, exposure to sunlight, electric arc, solvents, automotive fluids, and atmospheric pollutants accelerate the aging process. Hoosier Racing Tire strongly recommends that new (sticker) tires should be put in service within 2 years of date of purchase. Used (scuffed) tires have a shorter service life than new (sticker) tires. Poor storage and infrequent use accelerate the aging process. "

I think they would be fine at the right price. I have a supply of RS04 scrubs in my basement. I ran out of tires last year and ran them at Roebling & Road atlanta. 1:18 laps at Roebling and 1:37's at Road atlanta. Not bad for 7 year old scrubs.

I used another set just like these about 6 to 9 months ago, and they were sticky and held the track really well at Road atlanta. I was doing lap times in the 1:34 range then. Recently did a 1:28.5 there a few weeks ago with NASA. Thanks. Jerry

Price reduced to $100 per tire plus shipping. They have been stored off the cement in a heated garage. Thanks. Jerry

These actually are brand new. There is no wear whatsoever on the tires. I keep them at my shop, and looked at them again yesterday and realized they had never been run. Kept off the cement in conditioned shop garage. Somebody ought to buy these! Jerry

Spoke with Hoosier this morning. The R3S04 tires were replaced by the R6. They are the same rubber compound as the R6, but require about 4 lbs. more air pressure. He indicated that if stored properly as a new tire, these would be fine to run. They have been stored properly, are still new and tacky to the touch. Jerry

jCalled Hoosier, and they indicated that if stored properly, they would be fine. These have been in climate controlled space, not stacked, and off the floor. The still feel tacky to the touch, and no signs of dry rot. If they don't sell, I will just use myself at a de. Thanks. Jerry
