Just another form to fill out, I also think it's nice to have a little accountability when it comes to the dyno operators. They also have a nice guideline for the dyno operator to follow. I'm sure the contact info will only be used if they find something fishy

At first I though they changed it so you had to have a fresh dyno every year, but then I saw the 3 year thing still applies so long as there haven't been any changes made to affect power.

"However, at his discretion, a NASA ST Director(or Race Director) may require an updated certified Dyno report (at the driver’s/owner’s
expense) after one year from the date of the previous report."
Now to the rule itself:
What does it mean by submitted? Does that mean I have to turn in (submit) my ST classification forms (with dyno sheet) to the various ST directors of the regions before Jan. 9th to avoid the certification route?
I think I know the intention, but, IMHO, the language can be cleaned up a bit to avoid misunderstanding.

Yeah if they think something may be up with your car they can require you to submit a new dyno.
Not sure of the timing. I'm working on my car now and will be running TTA at VIR in February so I won't be doing an updated dyno sheet anytime soon. If I race ST2 in March at VIR I'll need an updated one prior to that.

Sperkins posted pics in my thread over on NasaForums and I sent that in a PM to Greg for his review if the outside edges of the frame can be cut off flush with the rails. Once I hear back from him... I'll spread the word.

The way I read it, factory active aero that came with the car as-classed is fine, active aero mods are not.
Given that the rules tend to be punitive towards high $ mods (at least in TTA-F), I think this was inevitable. Not shocked that it got nixed elsewhere, since just about every form of racing frowns on it.

I don't see anything that says anything has to be submitted before Monday or any specific date. If you're dyno sheet is more than 3 years old or you've dont mods that affect power output then you need to provide a new dyno sheet with your classification forms before your first race.

I just emailed my 2012 classification sheet and dyno graph to Randy a few minutes ago. If I can find who the ST director is with Mid Atlantic, I'll send him/her one, too. Probably the Northeast director, too.

Here is the official ruling on trimming the ends of the frame rails...
"Ok guys, we have reviewed this potential modification as shown in the photos with just the ends trimmed off of the bumper supports crossing at the front and rear of the frame rails, and we believe that this would be a legal modification in ST (and TTS/TTU). The trimming should not go past where the "actual" frame rails end.
Also, we have had a bunch of questions about Corvette frame mods the past few days, and FYI, it is not permitted to cut holes in the frame rails to use as brake ducting, exhaust routing, etc."

Looks like the 7 only cars are now STR-2 does that mean everyone on the west coast will run STR2 instead of ST2 to keep car counts up? IMO that sucks because they were from 4-6 of our National car count.

This farks things up for Danny and James... they both have side exhaust going through the frame rail.
Also, can this be done for PT or just ST?
EDIT - You sure you want those frame ends gone? they probably saved the main frame rails from more damage by taking the impact. Just a thought... trying to decide if I want to cut them off myself.
