Default Track day in my c6, should i add oil?

I am taking my c6 out for a track day in a few weeks and have heard that ls2 motors sometimes have oil pressure issues with hard cornering.

Should i add a 1/2 quart of oil. I recall hearing other people mentioning this.

Thanks, jason

In the C5s the owners manual recommends adding 1 quart extra for track days. The C6 has a different pan that lacks the "wings" and has a lower oil capacity. I've never owned a C6 so I'm not sure if GM still recommends adding more oil.

Check your owners manual, and watch the DVD. I think both recommend adding extra oil. IIRC, they also talk about lowering the car but don't worry about that until your ready for an alignment...

Our corvette engineer friends who come to the NCM HPDE suggest it is not needed in the LS2 or LS3.

Racing is a different story.
