I am off to the parts for sale section.

I need a new hood.

Someone mentioned one for sale here locally in So Cal for $90. I am off to try and find it now....

I have a hood for you Oli. It's yours for the taking if you want it. I'll email a picture of it to you later. I also have some video of your hood flying over my car at 150 mph . Sorry it ruined your race.

It was a joke. It's a piece of weatherstripping that vendors sell for like $20 that seals the front edge of your hood. They claim it allows the intake to work better.

i mean..what is that coming up thru the hood...can't make it out. Kinda resembles an engine block but...no way !

I asked the same question on Facebook... it's the hood blanket/insulator! Looks like a phantom escaping!

I can see you need to get our new Titanium reinforcing hood grommets. They've been shown to keep hoods anchored in hurricanes and tornadoes, so I'm sure they'd work on track.

Cool. That's cheaper than shipping mine down there probably. I was looking at the hood in my shop and I can see what happened more clearly to your hood now. I'm uploading my race video now. Chuck got some amazing pictures of the failure in process. What were the chances that he would be taking photos right at that time?
