Default Picture of valvespring

I bought 02 Z06 couple of weeks ago & was checking the valve
springs to see if they have been replaced.
Can anyone tell me if these are the original, or have been replaced.
As you can see they are yellow beehive.

Default Springs

Those are stock be-hive springs on a 243 head. Same ones were used in '03 also.

Those are the stock "yellows" that came in '02-'04 Z06s. No way to tell if they've been replaced with another set of stock springs or are th originals. Some late '02 early '03 cars had spring issues. GM never acknowleged a problem, but during that timeframe there were lots of posts on the forums of broken springs on stock cars. I put a fresh set of "yellows" in my 2001 back in summer 2010 when prepping it as a race car.

Can't go wrong with either... the old 2001 springs were blue. I think the new GM "blues" are the current LS3 spring. From pics I've seen they're a very bright blue.

These are the old stock 119k 2001 Z06 springs I took out for fresh "yellows"...

New yellows...

be sure you don't get the bad batch of 1218's they were out there a year ago

I've installed a few sets of the 1218's, they seem to perform very well

also check out the PSI spring Katech has
