Default You want a big wing? I'll give you a big wing.

I just installed a Dual element wing for autocross. There's a Corvette somewhere underneath it. Don't believe anyone that says that a wing want work for autocross. This one will give you more downforce then the front can handle. I had to angle back the top element to get a good balance.

The real question is, what are you gonna do about your car cover now?

Cool so you got it set up so you can close your decklid and then nut it the rest of the way on those long bolts? Any specs on that wing like downforce at 60 and 120mph and associated drag?

No specs. You could ask them. I didn't care about drag and I knew there would be enough downforce for me. It would be nice to know just for kicks.

Oli,
I'm going to put one of those giant wings on my front and my rear and beat the livin tar out of you in ST2.

Honestly...that is a pretty cool wing.

Is this mostly for autox only? If so, I'm sure it'll be fine. For road course duty, I would add a little extra bracing for high speed stuff.

All I need is my right foot for balance.

AutoX only. Just curious, why need more bracing for high speed? Seems really strong the way I have it. I can change it if I need to.

You don't have any side to side bracing and it looks like it's just bolted to the tub. I do like how it ties into the deck lid to give it some extra structure.

That looks great Steve. Rocking the autox courses.

I would agree with the other guys for track & triple digit stuff I would put some welds on there instead of nuts & bolts, the downforce might buckle the trunk lid or eventually crack the smc, and the big end plates might give you some side/side issues.

All said, a very cool wing.

Forget what I said on the trunk buckle, I see what you did now. Pretty clever.

The frame is right underneath the tub. I drilled down into the frame and bolted it. Thanks for the heads up though. I don't want to lose it.

Look at Beretta's ST2 aero build thread. He's done it very nicely.

Jim, if you don't already have one, make an account with photobucket or whichever media site you prefer (you can sign up for free) and you can select any picture from your computer to let them host it. Then all you need to do is copy the link to paste it here on the forum. It takes more time to explain it than doing it... its really easy.

I wonder if you need one on the hood now to balance the load.

It looks like something out of one of the Mad Max movies, but it is quite effective. I've run side by side with Jim and his grip in the corners is incredible.

That front wing is awesome. Wonder where he got that idea?????
