Which clutch tilton or quarter master carbon
Hello
which clutch would you put on your car ?
5.5 tilton rear mount starter 3 disc carbon clutch
or same diameter quarter master 3 disc carbon aldo rear mount
weight of tilton is 8.47 pound
and of quarter master 7.64 pound
both the same flywheel about 103 t.
It is for c5 2001 corvette with 550rwtq road racing car
some one got experience with this unit?
Which would you recommended?

I didn't realize they made reverse starter gear setups for the C5? I would have killed for that back when I was racing!
I can't compare them, but I've always like QM. They have good customer service, and the parts work well. I've always used the 5.5" 3-disc Pro or Optimum. Carbon is expensive, and replacement parts are expensive, but it sounds like that isn't an issue for you.

Oh no! It is also issue for me, cash just like for everyone i think.
I'm locking only for good condition used setup and someone got it for 1800 dollar with only 5%wear on the discs
so i think it good deal isn't?

$1800 is a boat load of cash and the replacement discs will cost as much as it does to replace my whole clutch.
This setup will work with 550hp no problem. They run it on Sprint Cup cars with 800 - 900 HP.
I like the QM setup better than the Tilton setup and consumables are less expensive because more people are running QM in professional racing therefore the volume helps keep the prices down.
