Default C6 owners - name this transaxle part please

[I was directed here by a friend, I was told the AutoX guys on Corvette forums were knowledgeable]

I'm working on a C6 that hit a crub and sheared the transaxle mount.

I can't find what this piece is called, so I can't buy a new one.

The piece in question is the single-piece aluminium bit that the CV goes through and the transaxle mount bolts to.

Can anyone help me out? Thanks.

It's this piece on the passenger side ^^

Always check for the newest part numbers

you can use this site to cross reference newer numbers http://www.partstaxi.com or http://www.gmpartshouse.com/
they both have the cheapest pricing and the staff are quite knowledgeable. Rather than order online, I would definitely call in to make sure youre getting the right parts

hope this helps

EDIT:

One more diagram - from parts taxi(obviously the numbers listed above will not apply to this diagram)

Awesome, thanks.

Did some searching for that term and found this:

http://www.vetteweb.com/tech/vemp_08.../photo_13.html

That's the part I need, but they don't say what it is or give a part number.

*edit* They call them 'outer covers' in that write-up

Know of anywhere to get that second hand?

new I think they range from 100 to 300 bucks depending on the side of the car and the model

They are not that expensive new. Doubt you will find a used one, they are usually on a good core.
