Default need tires for occasional track events

I already have the Michelin PS2s on after market rims but I'm looking for something to put on my original split spoke chromes on my 2009 Z06to run at the track 5-6 times a year. I'd like not to have to change sizes. Can anyone recommend anything to me?

I found Nitto Invos and not much else. I also found someone saying the soft sidewall wasn't great at the track.

Thank you all.

You can do the NT-05 in 275/35/18 and 335/30/19. The 335 is slightly wider/taller than the 325/30/19 stock but is still very close.

I would run scrubs (slicks) from Forum vendor GT Tires. They advertise here on this RR/Autocross board. Save your street tires for the street.

Just don't run an NT05 in rain/standing water. They hydroplane faster than you can say hydroplane.

Another vote for GT Tires. Great guys and great service, will be calling again when I wear out my current set of scrubs/slicks.

The NT05's are great in dry weather but can get very slippery on wet surfaces. When I finally wear mine out I plan to go back to something more "rain friendly"

I have read this elsewhere but I would only use them in dry weather to, from and at the track. Thanks very much for your input and advice. I did contact GT Tires and am awaiting the reply.

Did you buy 285/35/18 for the fronts when you bought the 335/30/19 for the rears? Someone mentioned throwing codes if you went with the 275/35/18 on the fronts.

You can run "Square" setup on tires, IF you turn off all the nannies. OR you can run slightly taller rear tires (0.5") and run everything "on". This is MUCH cheaper than ruining expensive street tires. PS get the suggested starting pressure for the slicks, and altho it will seem VERY low, please FOLLOW the directions for slick tire pressure!!! (and WARM em up)

Isn't that a drag tire not a HPDE tire?

I believe the Nitto 555 is the drag tire.

I'm assuming "square" means 18" all around. GT Tire mentioned some tire sizes utilizing wheel sizes with which I'm not familiar but I'm still exploring it.

Thank you all for your valuable input.
