did my first TT event with NASA NE at NJMP Lightning - vid
NJMP Lightning course.
Friday was practice and Saturday was the TT.
It was my first event at this track and first time on A6's ever and my first TT.
Previous TTA track record was 1:13.8. With some advice from Ben and geerookie, I got a 1:12.7, good for #2 place. Ben was in #1 with a 1.11.4.
This was my best lap from Friday on scrub R6's (295/17 front, 315/18 rear) - 1:15 lap:

For the last session in which I got my best time, I put the rear T1 bar on the softest setting (from the middle previously). All runs I used the competition mode. Didn't seem too intrusive and I was able to rotate the car and slide it pretty well. I was one second behind Ben the national champ from TTB who is now in TTA so I am very happy with the results. His car is way more setup than mine (delrin bushings (I think), stripped interior, no pass. seat, lightweight battery, no AC, etc) as well as headers and UD crank pulley. I don't know if I could get into the 1:11's with the car as is now but I would like to do some of these mods before the season ends:
It's still a street car so I do want to keep the radio/speakers and AC in there.
I hope to do more of these events. I won a hoosier tire!

- alum flywheel
- remove carpet & pass seat (my brother usually co-drives so this might not happen)
- more aggressive alignment (currently about -2 front and -1.5 rear)
- corner balance
- poly motor mounts
- phoenix delrin bushings
- brake ducts
