Default Performance Friction 665 brake fluid

Does anyone have any experience with this stuff?

http://www.performancefriction.com/p...ake-fluid.aspx

I usually use motul RBF600 and like it, but I can get a case of this stuff for a super good deal.

Thanks!

Here is a little chart I have to compare specs:

Brand Wet Boiling Point Dry Boiling Point
Ferodo 399*F 626*F $23.95
Castrol SRF 518°F 590°F $68.95
ProSpeed 683 439*F 683*F $39.99 MTI
Motul RBF600 420°F 593°F $14.95
Motul RBF660 401*F 617*F $28.95
AP-600 410°F 572°F
ATE-Super Blue 392°F 536°F $15.99
Valvoline 333°F 513°F
Castrol LMA 311°F 446°F
Ford HD 290°F 550°F
Wilwood 570 284°F 570°F
PFC-Z rated 284°F 550°F
AP-550 284°F 550°F
PFC 660 383°F 617°F

Prices are probably not up to date.

Nice chart!!

When comparing prices, make sure to look at similar quantities.

For instance, the Prospeed 683 looks like it might be cheaper than Castrol SRF.

However, the SRF comes in a liter container, and the Prospeed comes in a 1/2 liter, so the Prospeed is MUCH more expensive than anything else!!

Butt....with those #'s maybe it's worth it.

I read on the internet that it takes 24 months for fluid to get to its "wet" boiling point.

I have never had a problem with a low wet boiler, such as RBF600, despite lighting up the brakes on a regular basis. And I usually end up doing brake bleeds/flushes when it is raining out. Sometimes I even use a previously opened bottle.

That list has some good choices there. But you cannot shun a brand on "wet" boiling point alone. There are some good fluids in that list.

Here is some important information about the "Wet boiling point" versus "Pedal Feel".
Very interesting indeed.
