Default Non-Narrow Superlite 6Rs on Late C4

Has anybody ever tried running the non-narrow Wilwood Superlite 6Rs on the late (88-96) C4? I have ZR-1 style wheels and have about 2.35" of clearance between the stock J55 rotor face and the inside of the wheel. The reason I want to be able to do this is because you get about 30% extra pad for no extra cost in pads due to the thicker pad accommodation. I really don't want to pay the price of GNIII calipers but I know this has to be possible if the GNIII's will fit. I am sure I will need some type of a different bracket, but I just wanted to see if anybody had done this already. Thanks!
