Default Motul RBF600

Motul RBF600 is the best high-temperature Brake Fluid and preferred by many tuners and race teams. Its specifications and labratory results exceed that of DOT 5 silcone based fluid, but still retains the benefits of Glycol based fluid by lubricating the ABS pump and not deteriorating caliper and Master cylinder seals
100% Synthetic Brake and Clutch fluid. Compatible with all Dot 3 and 4 fluids. Specifically designed to resist the high temperatures of actuated (steel or carbon) racing brakes and clutch systems.
500ml bottles
1.05 pints

How many pints do you recommend for a full flush of the braking system? Thanks.

Normally a little over 2 bottles and don't forget your clutch normally we say get 4 bottles for complete brake and clutch and you will have a little left.

I was told to run this instead of SRF due to caliper and master seals from Mallett, but I also see a lot of guys sing the praise of SRF in their c5/c6 cars. Is it true that SRF will attack seals whereas this will not?

OK let me start out by saying that Castrol SRF is an excellent brake fluid. Second i have not heard that it will attack seals nor have we seen that as we have run SRF. DOT 4 fluids are glycol ether based, but have a measure of borate esters added for improved properties including increased dry and wet boiling points. In todays cars with the brake systems we have and in cars that are being tracked we look at Dry boiling temps a little more then the wet boiling temps. In todays systems brake systems are so air tight that water absorbsion isn't like it was years ago. If your tracking your car you most likely are also bleeding brakes regularly again not alowing for water to get into the system.
So lets take a look

Castrol SRF dry boiling temp 590 F wet boiling 518 around $35-36 pint

Motul 600 dry boiling 593 F wet boiling 420 F $17.95 pint

We run a ZO6 corvette with Brembo GT kit front & rear SCCA STO class we run Motul RB 600 with no problems and yes in a 2 day weekend with 5-6 hours of track time during the weekend we will bleed the front calipers once even though there is no brake fade thats me.
