Wearing glasses for the first time in 15 years
I tore my cornea a few days ago and had to get glasses for a few weeks up to several months if things dont get better. This is driving me insane - straight lines are round and my depth perception (especially toward the sides) is shot.
How do you guys drive like this? I'm almost afraid to get into the vette and try anything. Also what do you do to prevent fogging under a helmet? When I was a kid, had glasses, and played paintball, antifog wouldnt do crap to prevent buildup on the lenses.

I drove with glasses for a year. My prescription is like +9 so the world is curved at the periphery for sure. I had a real problem late in the day with eye fatigued from the vibration of my heavy glasses.
Look for a doctor that fits mini-scleral lenses. Those don't touch the cornea. I love mine.

I got a Stilo helmet with the air connection on it and run it through the cool suit box. Works great. Doesn't really make the inside of the helmet cool but it does prevent the glasses from fogging up.

I keep the visor up and have yet to have issues with my glasses fogging up. I have an older pair that I bent the arms to get them on after I put on the helmet. The glasses are pinned against my temples and the bridge doesn't rest on my nose. So far that's worked for me.

Ouche. I did the same to my cornea in 2010. Took several months of treatment to get it fixed. Talk about pain. Just take a bat to my knees next time. They finally stuck the eye with a needle 80 times to get the wound to close and heal. Had to wear a first aid temporary contact for several weeks while it healed.
Hope it heals quickly for you.

Thanks for the replies. This is still hard to get used to. You never really think about how much you use your peripheral vision until you wear glasses - parking is probably the worst part of it.
