Hoosier R6 what tire pressure
I had them on my Z06 and ran 28 and now on my ZR1 I ran 29 this past sunday at little talladega. They now have about 10 heat cycles on them. I didn't feel that comfortable on them. Still have plenty of tread in them too. I actually pushed through 3 then the front bit on the gators and whipped the rear around on me. I did it with all the grace a ZR1 could lol. Am I running too much pressure? Before going into turn 3 coming out of turn 2 the rear did kick which was the first time. Before that I was crab walking it across the track coming out of turn 2. Hot they were getting up to about 37-38lbs.

I would say thats just a little too hot but thats a personal opinion... I try for 34f/32r hot... I start with 26 f/24r cold... I know Hoosier says 38-40 is actually an ideal hot temp but I seem like like the way they feel with a bit less pressure... With all that said, at 37-38, thats actually not a bad pressure and shouldn't be giving you any driving issues..

I agree with the recommendation to shoot for mid 30's hot. I start at 25 front, 23 rear and shoot for about 35-37 hot temps. Perhaps it's an alignment issue you're having. Hoosiers like camber. I run 3 degrees in front and 1.5 degrees rear.

Hmmmm I'm on factory alignment and that might be part of the issue. I need to get it checked out and I'll drop the pressure a few pounds.

On our ZO6 we start 28 cold run 37-38 hot we run 3 degree front 2 degree rear we also have Penske Coilovers. Now also remember in the ZR1 you have more weight up front with the supercharger and less in the rear you may need to look at your sway bar settings.

Drifting
I start at 28F 24R, and usually end 34-5 F hot, 30 R hot
It's also dependant upon the car, suspension, tracks and temperatures.
Sometimes I drop an additional 1-2# on really hot days, depending on
how the car feels.
