Default Finally killed my C5Z06 Ti mufflers...

2 seasons of TT/W2W use have finally killed them. Noticed a rattling when coming off track at Road Atlanta a few weeks back. It was mostly on the driver's side. Now after running NARRA the weekend before last both sides are rattling like crazy and lower RPM and at idle. People told me they could hear it on track now. I'm guessing one of the internal baffles has come loose.

Inside of an OEM muffler...

Anyone else have this happen? I've heard about the muffler cans cracking on the outer end and the welds failing where the tips go into the can, but not something like this.

Anyone have a spare set they want gone

I don't... all I have is Tis right now. If they change the rules and make A6s + 20 then it's all moot as I'll be going ST2/TTS.

If just tracking cut it open and reweld it. Cost pennies.

I agree on cutting it open and rewelding. However, unless you can weld titanium it will cost more than pennies. I used to pay $70 to get the outlet pipes welded back on when the welds broke.

I have a driver's side Ti muffler in basement if you are interested. I bought a pair when the RH side tips broke off.
