POLL: How long do your brake pads last?
Lil' survey to check how much life you're all getting from your pads. After answering, please post specifics:
- Brake pad brand/model
- Brake ducts or no? What kind?
- Aftermarket calipers? What kind?
- What tires are you using?
- Power & weight of car
- Tracks you run (hard on brakes or not)
etc.

I'll start: I'm getting less than 2 days out of Carbotech XP12, and perhaps 4 days out of Ferodo DS1.11.
I'm using scrub Continental slicks, AP Racing T1 calipers, brake ducts, car has 406whp, full stock weight. I run a variety of tracks including Watkins Glen which is real hard on brakes.

Burning Brakes
3-4 out of Carbotech XP12s up front, stock C6 calipers.
Quantum brake ducts, Kumho XS tires, stock motor and weight.
Laguna (decently hard on brakes), Sonoma (easier on brakes), Thunderhill (I'd consider this reasonably hard on brakes).

3356# Camaro with stock brakes front and rear with Brake Man front pads, and I have at least 3000 autocross runs, 1000 drag passes, 2 dozen track days, and several speed stop events on them. They are almost a decade old now and at 60%. The pads are actually an impala police car application that fit the D52 calipers and have a larger area, FF rated. I am probably going to replace them soon with a Brake Man F4 setup just to lose some weight.

At the Glen 2:13 is my best and 1.34-1:35's consistently at Mosport.... Datalogging now so trying to improve a bit.
Are you going to be at Mosport anytime soon?

Wilwood H pads, 10 dry weather days (5 2 day events)
stock C5Z, stock calipers, air ducts, I flip the pads at the end of the day or mark at the end of event to ensure different for next event.
8 days of this were at Summit point, very hard on brakes. 2 days at VIR, easier and I was with a slower run group (usually run solo intermediate)
Nitto R-II tires, ABS very active.
I chose Wil H specifically because they are an endurance compound and I want something that will last since the stock ones taper. I'm just started my 3rd set of fronts and like these so much I have not been tempted to try others.

Stock ZO6 calipers/rotors, front LG cooling ducts w/fans, stock tires/R6:
stock pads - 2 days at Road Atlanta or Barber, then too thin for track.
Carbotech XP12 padlets front - bought used with about 75% pad remaining, lasted 2 days at RA and 1 at Barber (R6).
Carbotech XP12 one piece front - New 11mm thick, after 2 days at Barber - 7mm thick (stock goodyears). So maybe I'll get one more weekend before they become street only pads.

tracks mostly used : Portland international raceway and the ridge motorsports park
Bridgestone RE-11 265/305 and brake cooling ducts
used to get 2 track days if lucky out of my carbotech XP10 fronts and XP8 back, going through the same amount of fronts stock rotors mostly from menacing cracks, half as many rear rotors.
Now with stoptech st60 front calipers on 355x32 rotors I am ready for my 4th and probably last) track day on front carbotech xp10 pads and changed my rears (stock caliper and rotor) XP8 after the 3rd track day. Rotors show a tad of heat check but nothing bad and are barely worn.
Toyo r888s on the way, will update if enough variation

Hey Seb, I need to forward you an email I sent out yesterday for a Sept Watkins Glen trip for a bunch of us...
At the Glen 2:13 is my best and 1.34-1:35's consistently at Mosport.... Datalogging now so trying to improve a bit.
Are you going to be at Mosport anytime soon?

I can actually see your car right now outside the shop's window... I bet I've seen it more often than you these past 2 weeks... I just ran Mosport so I had the car checked by the guys at Powell and now I had to come back before a weekend at Calabogie to replace the power steering pump. Guess it didn't like the slicks...
I want to run Mosport at least one more time this summer, didn't get nearly enough track time in one day, so I have to be back, but not sure when. I'll keep you posted.
Back on topic: seems I'm not as outside the norm as I initially thought. I'll keep trying different pads, throwing on a set of AP Racing C300 Endurance compound for this weekend, Calabogie isn't too hard on brakes, hopefully I can get 3 days out of those.
I've heard good things about Pagid yellows too.
