Default How to drain Oil from an ARE oil Pan?

I have an ARE 1007 Dry sump oil pan with a stock oil tank. I am trying to change the oil and have removed 2 plugs from the pan (one draining straight down and one horizontal). So far with the initial gush all I have gotten out about 2 quarts of oil. Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

There is still a slow oil drip coming out of the plugs but doubt it will amount to the extra 7 quarts.

Thanks for your help!

I dont know about the stock tank, but I have to suck the oil out of the ARE tank not the pan. This is a NON stock setup tho..
