Default Katech "Track Attack" - One of the best!

I attended the Katech "Track Attack" earlier this week, and all I can say is "Wow" !!!

This event is defintely the cream of the crop, one of the best events I have ever attended! Many people to thank:

1. Jason and all the guys at Katech for the organization and "all hands on deck" tech support. Plus the catered meals for the entire event.

2. Mike Newlander and the crew at Autobahn for being such great hosts (as always). Mike's party at the garage is always special.

3. Jim Painter for his hospitality at the Sunday night "happy hour".

4. Bob Lutz for his presentation and global perspective (very cool guy).

5. Andy Pilgrim, Johnny O., Tom Wallace for hanging out and giving rides to the rest of us "mere mortals".

6. Everitt and Mike for sharing rides in their incredible cars.

Most importantly, the reason the event is so much fun is that Katech (and Mike) have made it a priority to make everyone feel special. This does not happen by accident, it takes a lot of work.

The cars, the track and the venue are all excellent, but it is the camraderie of old friends and new that set this event apart.

Start the planning for next year!

Sounds like fun! How was the weather? How much track time did you get--Katech website said 13 sessions in 2 days? Looks like a great time from the pictures!!

Tom,

Thanks for the kind words. Having people like you there helped us run an incident free event.

Weather was perfect. Sunny both days. We had a little rain over night the second day but had a dry track on the green flag.

We decided to run less sessions but more time per session so participants wouldn't lose heat cycles. No track time was sacrificed.

The first day was 3 hours of track time, the second day was 4 hours.

I'm sure we'll see more pictures surface once everyone catches their breath from the rides back home and have time to upload all the great moments.

We definitely had a great time! I'm posting up some photos in a few minutes, but for those who haven't seen Mike and Don's garage space it's pretty spectacular.
