Default Cooling effect of E85 on the track?

Outside of the benefits/downfall of E85 as a fuel (don't want a debate here), I'm looking for real world MEASURABLE data on the effects of running E85 on the track.

Does anybody running E85 have data regarding a change in coolant or oil temps on the track? If none, can anyone speculate? I know E85 burns cooler and was wondering if that translated throughout the rest of the engine's support systems.

Thanks for any input,
Sean

I converted mine (larger injectors, and time spent tuning) to E85 awhile back while tuning my rebuild. I kept getting light knock counts somewhat randomly throughout the spark table. I got tired of chasing a little here and a little there and wanted to try the fuel anyways (more octane for less cost and cleaner exhaust while working on it). After I switched there were no more knock counts and I slowly started adding some timing back in. I was able to get the motor where it wanted to be without knock counts.

Change in coolant temps? No.

I dont have documentation, But after a stockish LS7 spun a main I went with a RHS Block and higher compression on E85.

In 90 degree heat the coolant temps would be 240+ with the LS7
In 100 Degree heat the coolant temps was 205 With the RHS and E85

Same Ron Davis radiatior/oil cooler. And I upped another 200 HP with E85. But there is a few variables in my situation.

So id say yes. It makes a difference. Oil Temps were low aswell.

Good info. I would bet he higher compression helped as I know E85 burns. Oiler and cooler with increased compression.

Thanks for the data.
