Yup, the one car had a mechanical issue and started smoking, the 2nd car went straight into the tires between 4 and 5 but continued and won.

Yep.........we melted the speed sensor in the diff (despite it being a brand new RSG unit with fresh fluid) and got black flagged two laps from the checker. Mike W got it out of the tires and was surprised in the hot pits when they handed him the checkered flag...........but it was a good race for 17 laps!!

Good luck to everyone at POCONO this weekend!!! Lets hear some Q results and post race info!!

Yup, I was working corner 5. It was fun to watch and blue flag.

Tough day for Joe yesterday, but a good race between Sanders and Andrew, finishing 1/2 respectively, and Joe did a helluva drive from the back to get close to the front before getting shafted by a twisted version of a restart which jumbled the field and took him out of contention. Better luck today!

Can we get an update? Finding results through SCCA's various websites is absolutely the worst.

Turned out to be two fun days with great weather. The new oval surface is very smooth, and times were about 1.5 secs faster than last year.

8 T1 cars on saturday and six started on Sunday.

Dave Sanders won both races in his c5, Andrew was second in the Mustang both days. The Mustang was quick in the infield, but not fast enough on the straights.

Tom Sloe was very fast in his Hutter engined C5 and looks to be in great runoffs form. Fe qualified on the pole for Sunday. On Saturday he collided Jason Berkeleys car and both dropped out. Not sure what happened on Sunday.

I Think i was qualified third for both days, but The Torque tube broke on my car in the last saturday qualifying session, so with only a couple of hours to go I had to park the corvtte and drove one of the t2 mustangs just to run the race, starting from the back.

I was pretty disappointed not being able to race Dave heads up in the corvette, but as the saying goes, thats racing. The mustang is a great car to drive and after a few laps i got used to it, But it was no where near as fast as my Grand Sport... I ended up a distant fourth and third in the two races. Had some fun with the A sedan cars both days...

Congrats to Dave on his two wins and on taking the Northeast Division Championship!!!

Sat results:

Dave Sanders
AJ
Gaudette
Jfa
landis
Warren
Sloe
berkeley

Sunday Race:

Dave Sanders
AJ
JFA
landis
Gaudette
Sloe

Will post more later as we get some time.

Sorry to hear about the bumpage and breakage.

It was a fun weekend hanging with the T1 crowd. Here is my in car video from the Saturday race. 2 full course cautions, 7 lead changes between 3 drivers, passes in the grass, spins, wrecks, etc… The final restart is at 14:50 with Andrew Aquilante and I stuck at the back of the field and pass 18 lapped cars in the last 3 laps.
